How to Download Videos on iPad
iPadOS handles file downloads a bit differently from iPhone, mostly for the better.
Safari's download manager
iPadOS's Safari includes a proper download manager (the down-arrow icon in the toolbar), which shows progress and lets you tap a completed download to open or save it directly.
Where downloads are saved
By default, downloaded files land in the Files app's Downloads folder, from which they can be moved into Photos (for video/images) or kept in Files for other formats.
Multitasking makes this easier on iPad
Split View lets you keep a downloader open in one pane and the Files app in the other, making it easy to drag a completed download straight into a specific folder without switching apps back and forth.
